LEE CRONIN AND TERRY SCUOLER JOIN THESE ISLANDS’ ADVISORY COUNCIL

These Islands is pleased to announce two new members of its Advisory Council: Professor Lee Cronin of the University of Glasgow, and Terry Scuoler, Chairman of the Institute of Export and International Trade. They will bring valuable insights from the scientific and business communities.
Lee Cronin is the Regius Professor of Chemistry at the University of Glasgow. He is a fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Royal Society of Edinburgh, and was appointed to the Regius Chair of Chemistry in 2013. Lee’s work has been recognised with the 2015 RSC Tilden Prize, the 2013 BP/RSE Hutton Prize, and the 2012 RSC Corday-Morgan Prize.
On joining These Islands’ Advisory Council, Lee Cronin said:
“The evidence based work These Islands is doing, especially in this Brexit-Trump era, is vitally important.”
Terry Scuoler is Chairman of the Institute of Export and International Trade, and Policy Advisor to Santander and several other commercial and not-for-profit organisations. In 2017 He was awarded the CBE for services to manufacturing and engineering.
Terry Scuoler provided this statement:
“At a time of increasing political and economic uncertainty I am delighted to support the excellent work of These Islands in reminding us all of the unique value and strength of the United Kingdom.”
